What can you expect from the workshop?

Getting to know and practicing the method can make us very precise, it teaches us great discipline and focus. It provides a structure for the body and the voice to become free.

Getting to know our own body

During the training sessions, we get to know our own bodies at first. This is important for three main reasons.

  1. By observing and training our body, it is much easier to learn the concentration necessary for a strong presence.
  2. If we know our body, then it's easier to connect with our partners, because they have the same
  3. We prepare the work with our voice. The voice comes from the body, there is no powerful voice without bodywork.
Connection to ourselves, others and the environment

With biomechanics exercises, contact exercises and the use of Viewpoints elements, we learn how to connect with each other and with our environment.

Meyerhold biomechanics stick exercises are very useful in getting to know each other, you can easily create and build a community in much shorter time than by intellectual techniques.

For connection, connecting with each other and developing our compositional skills we gain insight into the Viewpoints technique.

Imagination exercises

Mikhail Chekhov's school can be combined real effectively with Grotowski's practices and techniques. Chekhov's imagination exercises, implemented into physical tasks, can result in very strong and precise experiences. They help us shape characters precisely, and instruct the participants.

Voice and speech exercises

Imre Montágh, a prominent representative of the clear Hungarian speech, cannot be left out of the line-up either. He didn´t consider himself an ordinary speech and drama teacher, he called himself a game master, and sometimes even an accomplice. We will work as accomplices with breathing, articulation and voice exercises. The cornerstones of stable, well-directed speech are correct breathing, clear articulation and smooth, soft onset of voice.

No prior training is required to attend our workshops
We work in small groups
We work barefoot
Bring comfortable training clothes! (light, airy pants and T-shirt)
You will get tired after the workshop, but you'll survive
