Voice Foundations: The Power of Tube Phonation

In this workshop, we combine two methods that are very beneficial for sensing and strengthening the muscles needed for good voice production.ย  You can playfully discover how you create your voice.

You can observe how your voice is connected to your breathing.

Through humming, you will experience how you create vibrations and you can also try out the many possibilities your body has for producing sound.

Through exploring tube phonation, weโ€™ll gain insights into exercises that help keep your voice healthy and clear.

Both techniques are very important and useful tools for making your voice more and more free.

Why join us?

When to Use These Tools โ€” and Why?

๐Ÿ“Œ To relax your voice

๐Ÿ“Œ As a warm-up or as cooling down, after an intensive session of speaking/performing

๐Ÿ“Œ It teaches the vocal cords how to vibrate with less force (When we use our voice a lot of pressure can build up in our vocal cords)

๐Ÿ“Œ By using it you’ll have a steady airflow & breathe properly

๐Ÿ“Œ The vocal cords align well โ€“ so there are less stress on the vocal folds

๐Ÿ“Œ Sound production without muscular or vocal effort โ€“ you donโ€™t need to press/strain your muscles to speak/sing

๐Ÿ“Œ With more practice your voice will be able to hit notes, you werenโ€™t able to hit before
